Summary of Duties:

This Learning Design Assistant position facilitates the Learning Design program by serving as a consultant and internal point of contact to solve faculty course development questions, escalations, and course review processing. The candidate may also create assessments and content in the Learning Management System (LMS) to assist Instructional Designers and the Production team. Another crucial function of this position is to review existing online courses and relevant data to evaluate compliance with WSU policies, design standards, and federal laws and regulations. 


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with online Learning Management Systems or other educational technologies.

  • Strong oral and written, mediated and digital communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education teaching or supporting students or faculty.

  • Degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, English, Communication, or related field.

  • Knowledge of Learning Theory.

  • Basic HTML knowledge.
