Job Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Behavioral Health Clinician in the PROMISE Clinic at University of Colorado Hospital. Behavioral health services are currently offered in the PROMISE Clinic, which serves perinatal women in the Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, but the Departments of Psychiatry and Ob/Gyn would like to further expand these services. Based at the Anschutz Medical and Research Campus, there are ample opportunities to participate in interdisciplinary professional education, research programs and clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Direct clinical care and teaching, with a focus on providing integrated behavioral health services to perinatal women and their infants, partners and families.

·       Work closely with other members of the behavioral health team, as well as with medical team members, to deliver individual, family, in-home, and group based services.

·       Consult with medical teams to address behavioral health and environmental factors that impact well-being

·       Provide case management as needed.

·       Collaborate closely with resource partners including medical social workers, family navigators, and community health liaisons.

 

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings (negotiable).

Perinatal Resource Offering Mood Integrated Services & Evaluation (PROMISE) clinic of University of Colorado OB-GYN provides on-site screening, treatment, emotional support and community referrals for women who are receiving pregnancy care with us and who may be experiencing perinatal mood disorders. The clinic reflects a steadily growing recognition in the medical community that pregnancy and the period after delivery can be difficult times for women, says Cheryl Chessick, MD, assistant professor of psychiatry and director of the Women’s Studies and Treatment Program at UCD’s Depression Center, who helped launch the project.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

 

·       Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related degree.

·       Experience working with perinatal women in integrated care settings and with families.

·       Must possess a Colorado License or be eligible for licensure within the state of Colorado.

·       2 years experience providing psychotherapy as an independently licensed clinicians.

·       Must obtain Medical staff privileges at University of Colorado Hospital.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

        Demonstrated experience and interest in providing behavioral health services in an integrated setting, delivering perinatal mental health services, using evidenced-based treatment models (including, but not limited to: motivation interviewing and interpersonal psychotherapy, consultation with medical teams, flexible application of interventions).

        Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team model with colleagues, medical specialists, and trainees.

        Experience and skill in consulting with professional colleagues and staff.

        Commitment to multiculturalism and experience with diverse populations.

        Bilingual candidates are preferred.

·       Knowledge regarding clinical research regulations and principles of ethical conduct.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$42,000 - $46,000 for .49 FTE.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
