Job Summary
Marketing and Communication’s are actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Web Developer Level 1 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus primarily on troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in our Content Management System. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in web development technologies and problem-solving skills and has the potential and aspiration to grow into a Senior Developer.
Responsibilities
Website Troubleshooting:
  • Investigate and diagnose issues reported by users or identified through trouble ticket systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and prioritize issues affecting website functionality.
  • Analyze HTML/CSS/JavaScript code, server logs, and databases to identify the root cause of problems.

Bug Fixing and Code Optimization:
  • Implement timely and effective solutions to address bugs, glitches, or broken functionalities on websites and inside the Drupal CMS.
  • Optimize code for improved performance and user experience.
  • Work closely with senior developers to enhance code quality and maintainability.

Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough testing of websites to ensure functionality across various browsers and devices.
  • Develop and execute test cases to identify potential issues before deployment.

Communication and Documentation:
  • Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users and webmasters.
  • Document troubleshooting processes, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of issue resolution through communication tools and trouble ticket systems.

Career Development:
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to broaden skill sets and stay informed of industry trends.
  • Work closely with senior developers to gain insights and knowledge for career progression.
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). 2 years of experience in web software development or related area.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant web development technologies.

  • Preference given to those skilled at collaborating with team members in an Agile and/or matrixed environment.

  • Familiarity with Drupal, content management systems (CMS) and web hosting environments.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Desire to rapidly increase learning cloud bases SaaS environments and the DevOps required to maintain those environments.
