Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Visiting Researcher for the Department of Anesthesiology within the New Jersey Medical School. Candidate will focus on the mechanisms that underlie Alzheimer’s Disease.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Designs/performs experiments related to cellular and molecular pain development, analyzes data, writes manuscripts, presents results.
  • Develops standards, methodologies, and instrumentation for molecular biological experiments.
  • Trains clinical fellows, students
  • Assists in the writing of grants
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers’ compliance standards as they appear in RBHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  •  MD preferred, with experience in Neurodegenerative and alcohol abuse pathologies. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • In this position, the individual will be responsible for conducting research on neurobiology of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) related neuropathic pain. You will also be responsible for conducting original research in the area(s) of target validation for the treatment of alcohol abuse induced dementias associated with AD.
