Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary

The Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), invites applications for a one-academic-year (fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters) visiting assistant professor position starting in August 2024.  The successful candidate is expected to teach a full load of four courses per semester.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related area.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in dynamics, controls, and engineering fundamentals within the First-Year Engineering program.  Applicants for the position are required to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to provide outstanding classroom and laboratory instructions. Industrial experience is desirable, but not required.
