Position Summary:

The Department of Biology at Rollins College invites applications for a 2-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology with expertise in Marine Biology, beginning August 2024 and continuing until May of 2026. Area of specialization is open, with a preference for candidates who can contribute marine biology expertise beyond that of our current faculty (see our departmental website at www.rollins.edu/biology) .

The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence both in the classroom and in the field. Teaching responsibilities will include our General Biology series for majors, marine biology courses for majors, an advanced course in their area of expertise, and developing and teaching a general education course for non-science majors. A Ph.D. in Marine Biology or in the biological sciences with an emphasis in marine biology is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

  • PH.D. in Marine Biology or the biological sciences with and emphasis in marine biology is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred.
