Job Summary
The Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity is seeking a highly motivated and creative student to work 15-19 hours/week to coordinate communications, marketing, and recruiting for the Center which is housed in the David Eccles School of Business. 
The selected candidate may be asked to attend events, develop materials, and create messaging for student program recruitment. The candidate will need to work some hours in-person at the Center’s off-campus office. 
Responsibilities
Project Coordination: The Communication and Marketing Intern will work with staff to coordinate all activities related to student program recruitment ensuring deadlines are met. This position is responsible for the status of assigned projects at all times and ensures all work has been appropriately reviewed and approved before publishing. 
Student Engagement: The Communication and Marketing Intern engages with students at recruitment events including tabling and information sessions. Responsibilities include providing a friendly and approachable demeanor, answering questions, developing talking points, collecting data, and following up as necessary. The intern will also develop new and creative strategies for engaging with students that result in high-yield outcomes. 
Design and Creative Work: The Communication and Marketing Intern will be responsible for creating assets within the existing center brand including brochures, flyers, videos, social media posts, presentations, promotional products, email campaigns, and assisting with photo management.
Social Media Publishing: The Communication and Marketing Intern drafts and executes center-approved social media posts through publishing approvals workflows. This position is responsible for ensuring that posts go out as planned on designated platforms with utmost accuracy. These responsibilities include engagement with the center’s social media community by responding to comments, questions, replies, DMs, tags, and more across all platforms. The Intern is also responsible for troubleshooting inappropriate content by hiding and deleting comments. Responsibilities may also include producing reports outlining social media and other communication engagements, i.e. tracking the number of followers, number of posts, and responses).
Other Duties as Assigned in Relation to Communications and Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must be a current University of Utah student.
Excellent written and verbal communication, superior customer service skills, and a high level of interest and initiative in learning new technologies.
Design work and knowledge of Adobe Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), WIX, Canva, or other related design platforms are preferred. 
Successful candidates will possess critical thinking skills as well as a passion for engaging students in center programs and experiences.
