The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the Financial Business Manager 1 with the Synergy Evaluation Institute. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Please note that Career Gateway temporary positions do not have benefits, annual leave, or sick leave accrual.   


 


The length of assignment is 3 months.
The work schedule is Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The pay rate is $30.00/hour


 



Qualifications

 

The Synergy Evaluation Institute (Synergy) Business Manager performs diverse activities requiring analysis and judgment in alignment with broad principles, practices, and professional standards. The Business Manager’s work is guided by objectives and expected outcomes with limited direction. The Business Manager analyzes and interprets data, identifies areas of concern, and recognizes when there is a problem. The Synergy Business Manager performs work independently under limited supervision and takes the lead to ensure policy, procedure, and legal compliance in financial, Human Resources, and project operations.

Experience with UT system highly preferred:
•UT policy/procedures and Uniform Guidance
•Knowledge of UTK fiscal and human resources policies and procedures
•Knowledge of Office of Management and Budget cost principal circulars

Depending on candidate experience, position can be Hybrid and/or fully remote and part time. Search for full time permanent candidate is expected to be completed by March.
