Description of Work Unit | Provides year around landscaping services, care, renovation, repair and maintenance of all grounds at Colorado State University and its auxiliaries. The Grounds Maintenance Department within Facilities Management is dedicated to the maintaining and providing a safe, functional and aesthetically-pleasing exterior environment for the students, faculty, staff and visitors to the University |
Position Summary | This position functions as supervisor and provides technical expertise for the turfgrass maintenance and sports field preparation and maintenance operations of the Grounds section. This position maintains division one artificial and natural athletic sports fields and the support of multiple athletic events. |

Duty/Responsibility | Function as supervisor over classified grounds maintenance personnel. Provides performance plans, reviews and evaluations for all subordinate employees. Plan, and coordinate work activities for employees. Establish work standards, oversees and approves work orders and employee time entry. Monitor progress, timeliness and correctness of work product ’and reports to Grounds Manager. Hire, train and ensure correct and up-to-date documentation for subordinate employees. Ensure compliance with Facilities Management policies and procedures and State of Colorado Personnel System rules and procedures. |
