Job Description Summary:
The Center for Excellence in Public Leadership at The George Washington University (GW CEPL) brings over 25 years of experience in cutting-edge leadership and management training in the public sector. Working with federal managers, CEPL offers a standardized program that prepares leaders to step into senior executive positions, as well as customized programs to help address specific training needs for a variety of mid-level and executive level positions.

The Training Program Coordinator serves an integral role within the Center providing overall office and program support. The Training Program Coordinator will work closely with GW CEPL Associate Director Dr. Natalie Houghtby-Haddon and Financial Administrator, Samantha Luna, to deliver several leadership development experiences for the federal government throughout the year. The Training Program Coordinatorwill help the plan and deliver several yearly leadership conferences as well as provide support to monthly programs. The position requires a mature individual who represents the Center in a positive light, takes initiative to accomplish Center programs and goals, is a good problem solver, and works well under pressure. This position involves opportunities to attend leadership conferences.
Start Date for this Project would be 4/1/2024 with an end date of 10/1/2024.

Specific duties include:
• Support assigned training programs with program management duties and coordinate with trainers to deliver effective training sessions.
• Manage the logistics of training programs, including reserving training rooms, coordinating with trainers, providing printing support for programs: materials, name tents, and catering orders.
• Order and manage office/program supplies, equipment, and catering
• Adherence to budgetary constraints while tracking expenses.
• Collect evaluation feedback from participants and compile and summarize program evaluations
• Help manage the organization’s leaning management system (LMS), including uploading training materials, and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
• Serve as program liaison with participants by communicating assignments, schedule changes, and other information
• Maintain paper and electronic files
• This is a hybrid position with some days remote and some in the office or training site
Other duties as assigned
The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates will have sufficient subject matter knowledge to work under limited supervision, understand specific needs, and apply subject matter knowledge. Candidates must be proficient in MS Excel.

• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc.
• Previous event/program planning experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills, punctuality, professionalism
• Must be able to lift 20lbs
Must be able to travel across DMV for training locations
