Posting Summary
Rutgers is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Health Behavior, Society and Policy within the School of Public Health, located in Piscataway, NJ. The Temporary Research Assistant will assist with a study that aims to determine the feasibility and acceptability of a mobile health mindfulness app in order to eventually improve the overall care and mental health of caregivers and the older adults they care for. The Assistant will serve as an assistant for a research study with caregivers of older adults with cognitive impairment or dementia. Will be responsible for the data collection and subject recruitment for the study under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
Duties will include:
  • Support Principal Investigator with subject recruitment throughout New Brunswick.
  • Orient participants to the mHealth app.
  • Perform follow up assessments via telephone.
  • Support research activities

  • Access to a vehicle for reimbursed travel to study sites
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Familiarity with mHealth technologies (proficient with Android and iPhone operating systems)
