What we want

The Program Assistant in the Engineering Enrichment Program within the Center of Teaching and Learning at Texas A&M University at Qatar is responsible for assisting in the coordination of CTL's Engineering Enrichment Program with its three focused areas: Leadership and Management, Emerging Technologies, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Maintaining the new registration and data tracking system. Responsible of the marketing and promotional aspects of all enrichment programs.

This position is NOT located in the United States. One must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software program

Other Requirements or Other Factors:

  • Will be required to work during normal business hours

  • This is a temporary wage only position with no benefits and is NOT located in the United States

  • Candidate must be a holder of a valid Residency Permit in the State of Qatar

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in university's enrichment programs or high impact activities

  • Experience in students' co-curricular programs or other related areas

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Program design skills, Adobe and Microsoft skills (PPT expert), Data Management systems (e.g. yujaa) knowledge, knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, and  verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Enrichment Offerings - Coordinates, administers, and promotes engineering enrichment offerings including short-training courses, workshops, seminars, competitions, events, and others. Is responsible of the marketing and promotional aspects of all enrichment programs.

  • Registration System - Administers and maintains the engineering enrichment registration system students' participation records through the enrollment tracking platform (yujaa).

  • Program Support - Assists in designing, coordinating and implementing engineering enrichment programs with industry partners.

  • Data - Assists in collecting feedback from students and articulate findings.

  • Collaboration - Collaborates and supports when appropriate, the wider activities of the center. Performs other duties as assigned.
