Description
BOTANY CREW: Primary duties are to conduct floristic surveys, support project implementation, treat invasive plants, and assist with range utilization monitoring on the Truckee and Sierraville Ranger Districts. Additional work includes restoration, rare plant monitoring, data entry & environmental education. Qualifications
Desired skills include: experience with plant identification using taxonomic keys, familiarity with California flora (including fungi and non-vascular plants), and proficiency using GIS, GPS, topographic maps, and compass. Ability to operate vehicles on rough and 4WD roads is necessary for the position. Qualified candidates must be in good physical fitness and be willing to work outdoors under strenuous conditions throughout the summer.
