Job Description:

The Student Success Coach/Advisor supports the growth of the Graduate Programs in Education by providing academic advising to students within select programs to facilitate course selection and registration. As a Student Success Coach, the advisor will provide a link between students and their instructors and directors. Programs included are: Master of Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, and post-master's education professional development certificates.


Essential Job Functions:


50% A. Provide live and/or virtual advising to newly matriculated and returning students in the MEd/MATprograms, to include course selection and registration, degree planning, and referral to academic support services.


20% B. Monitor student progress to degree completion; conduct student outreach as needed to support student success.


10% C. Serve as a liaison for students in the programs with student support services, academic services, and enrollment management services. Connect students with services as appropriate.

10% D. Create and submit a list of advisees expected to graduate to the program director in the first month of the graduating term. Submit a final list of advisees that are cleared to graduate after final grades are entered.

10%. E. Assist the M.Ed./M.A.T. Director with student announcements/outreach, marketing, and perform other duties as assigned.


Education:


Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred: Master's Degree



Professional Experience:


Required: One year experience in advising or working with students, or success coaching.

Preferred: One year in graduate program advising.
