Armstrong Campus - Savannah, GA and Liberty Campus - Hinesville, GA

TRIO/ Student Support Services

The Student Assistant will support TRIO/Student Support Services on the Armstrong and Liberty Campuses beginning Fall 2024. 
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

• Assist students by answering subject specific questions and in identifying and overcoming mechanical problems.
• Works with students to improve problem solving skills.
• Assists TRIO participants with class assignments.

Shift Specifics

• Up to 6 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Education

• Successful completion of one or more of the following courses, or equivalent courses, with a grade of B or better: 
  • MATH 1111 (College Algebra)
  • MATH 1112 (College Trigonometry)
  • MATH 1441 (Calculus I)
  • MATH 2242 (Calculus II)
  • MATH 2130 (Discrete Mathematics)
  • MATH 2160 (Linear Algebra)
  • MATH 3230 (Ordinary Differential Equations)
  • STAT 1401 (Elementary Statistics)
  • CHEM 1211 (Principles of Chemistry I)
  • CHEM 1212 (Principles of Chemistry II)
  • BIOL 1107 (Principles of Biology I)
  • BIOL 1108 (Principles of Biology II)
  • KINS 2531 (Human Anatomy and Physiology I)
  • KINS 2532 (Human Anatomy and Physiology II)
  • PHYS 1111 (Introductory Physics I)
  • PHYS 2211 (Principles of Physics I)

$13.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
