JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Strategic Services Associate responsible for leading and implementing strategic business development and contracting projects. Day to day supporting the operations of Duke Health Integrated Practice while analyzing current operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and presenting and managing solutions.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead projects related to business development, provider contracting, negotiation, and execution process. Collaborate with leadership to determine business development, contract, and compensation strategy and parameters.
  • Identify opportunities for improved performance. Analyze data to identify adverse trends and/or undesirable performance. Identify barriers and opportunities in the team process and develops process improvement solutions. Utilize performance improvement techniques and methodologies and produce reports and presentations on performance improvement.
  • Create a service-based consultative approach to develop appropriate relationships and communication with internal business partners to ensure that business development initiatives to support Duke Health strategy, profitability goals, and with consideration for functional operations.
  • Support organization's efforts to maintain compliance with regulations and legal standards. Monitor compliance through formal and informal processes.
  • Provides support to Clinical Departments and community practices on issues regarding contract and compensation execution and management in partnership with legal counsel and leadership as appropriate.
  • Designs and optimizes databases and electronic files in an organized manner. Prepare and/or evaluate supporting analyses. Identify barriers and opportunities in the contracting and business development process and develops process improvement solutions.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in a business or health-related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience, including 3 years of experience with significant responsibility for performance/ process improvement. Experience leading work teams required.

  • Experience can be supplemented with Master's degree with a Masters being equivalent to two years of experience.

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
