Your role will include analyzing and interpreting intricate biological data, integrating diverse datasets, and developing computational methods for extracting meaningful insights. Your contributions will significantly advance our comprehension of cancer progression, pinpoint potential therapeutic targets, and support the progress of personalized medicine approaches. Staff Scientists will be appointed under a one-year fixed-term contract.

As a successful candidate, you will:

·         Perform wet lab experiments that include cell culture, cell and molecular biology experiments, preparing samples for RNAseq/genomic/proteomic analysis, and microscopy including confocal and super resolution microscopy.

·         Perform bioinformatics analysis on high-throughput genomic and transcriptomic data.

·         Develop and apply computational algorithms and statistical models for data analysis and interpretation.

·         Integrate and analyze multi-omics datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and potential biomarkers.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams including biologists, mathematicians, and medical oncologists to design and execute bioinformatics projects.

·         Stay up to date with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and genomics research.

·         Contribute to the development of data analysis pipelines and software tools.

·         Present findings and results to internal teams and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

·         Publish research outcomes in scientific journals and present at conferences.

·         Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field.

·         Knowledge of cancer genomics and oncology research.

·         Experience in cancer biology, analyzing one or more modalities of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, such as whole exome/whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, bisulfite sequencing, single-cell RNA sequencing.

·         Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Perl.

·         Knowledge of statistical methodology and standard bioinformatics packages for large-scale genomics data analysis.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data and concepts effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their applications in bioinformatics.

·         Experience with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data analysis.

·         Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and big data analysis frameworks.

·         Demonstrated track record of publications in reputable scientific journals.
