Assists the Assistant Director of the financial aid office to run the day-to-day operations.

Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1 – 3 years financial aid experience required.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills

Key Responsibilities


Key Responsibility
· Document management including scanning, indexing and tracking and Workflow processing.
· Loan processing, which includes: certification, disbursements, make appropriate Loan returns, revisions and follow up with confirmations.
· Apply federal methodology to perform verification, c-flag, professional judgment review, Satisfactory Academic progress, Return of Title IV processes, financial aid awarding, budget revision, need-analysis, and daily and weekly report review for an assigned portion of student files.
· In conjunction with the Assistant Director, review and prepare for the audits and the file organization of all Return of Title IV calculations performed by the office.

Key Responsibility
· Assist students with questions regarding all facets of the financial aid process, including the different types of aid and loans available, the ramifications of them, the application process, applying the loans to their accounts, and financing outstanding balances for their accounts.
· Counsel students on phone as well as in person, or virtually regarding financial aid and debt management.
· Responsible for monitoring Financial Aid e-mails each day, and responding to students in a timely manner.

Key Responsibility
· Plans group exit and entrance counseling sessions.
· Assist with procuring financial literacy experts to conduct workshops, exit and entrance counseling sessions, and one-on-one counseling sessions. Conduct group entrance and exit loan sessions and other presentations as needed.
· Present financial aid information annually at PLUS Program event.
· Attends and possibly presents at open houses and other events sponsored by the university
· Attends seminars, conferences, and other professional developments events in-person or virtually.
· In conjunction with the Assistant Director, will manage all office communications. Write, review, and edit the record page and financial aid website updates, student surveys, and all other mass communications in conjunction with the Assistant Director.
