About the Position

The Sr. Director, Prospect Experience Architect, works in partnership with leaders of all channels and functions to bring the University experience to life across marketing digital platforms visited by prospective students in their search and selection process. The individual creates value in the University’s digital platforms to deliver a distinctive and supportive prospect experience that will lead to increased total degreed enrollment and revenue.  In addition, the Sr. Director, Prospect Experience Architect oversees the prospect Net Promoter Score (NPS) program and roadmaps to achieve excellence.



1. Analyze data and identify areas for improvement to that will lead to a better prospect experience from search through student onboarding; prepare and present to leadership reports on full lifecycle prospect experience.

2. Collaborate with prospect product teams to deliver a distinctive experience as influenced by research, analytics, and University goals; build repository of referenceable prospect experience templates and best practices to utilize in UOPX platforms.

3. Connect all service platforms into a seamless prospect experience that is focused on solving customer needs and facilitating high-value data exchange.

4. Track and plan for continuous improvement of prospect experience satisfaction.  Using information from marketing platform metrics and NPS surveys, continuously refine the experience to ensure prospective students receive the right information at the right time in the right way to make informed decisions about their education.

5. Contribute to actionable research to connect various prospect journey paths, designs and standards to influence feature prioritization product roadmap.

6. Monitor and communicate strategic implications of competitive activities and industry innovations; recommend to leadership enhancements to UOPX platforms to improve prospect experience.

7. Guide and inspire UI designers, copywriters assigned to to build an efficient, flexible, and responsive website experience that pulls visitors in and encourages taking the next step in a way that is congruous with the larger University strategy.

8. Select, mentor, coach and evaluate staff; establish and monitor appropriate employee performance objectives; prepare and present employee performance discussions, including one-on-one meetings and quarterly check-ins; implement mentoring and coaching plans, or disciplinary action, where appropriate.

9. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

What You Bring to the Table


• Bachelor’s degree in design thinking, information technology or user experience and 8 years of proven work experience in information architecture, user experience, web design, or other related field, supporting large matrixed environments and multiple service product launches; OR 

• 10 years relevant work experience 


• Demonstrated experience in developing digital interfaces, large-scale websites, and applications, etc. with a strong portfolio.

• Working knowledge of core design tools including Miro, UXPin, Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop 

• Conceptual understanding of web-related technologies and development processes, methods and principles

• Proven understanding of techniques to optimize lead acquisition and conversion through user centric experience design, and design experimentation 

• Experience analyzing, reviewing, and interpreting data and proactively presenting solutions/recommendations to leadership  

• Strong interpersonal, and influencing skills to successfully plan and direct the execution of strategies and objectives 

• Proven exceptional operational management skills with experience in managing major projects simultaneously in an environment with changing business priorities 

• Strong project and relationship management skills to manage multiple priorities projects, deliverables, and stakeholders

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to influence and inspire an organization to achieve a unique product vision  

• Ability to make strategic decisions based on data and empirical evidence to validate hypotheses  

• Ability to create an atmosphere in which people work together enthusiastically and co-operatively to produce outstanding results 

• Work concurrently on multiple projects while still maintaining the patience and passion necessary when focused on only one project

• Strong visualization skills with the ability to clearly communicate in writing and orally

• Self-starter; organized; detail-oriented; motivated to set personal and program goals and proactively track performance against goals and initiatives

• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences across the business

• Aware of current trends and new technologies in information architecture and design

This position cannot be performed in Colorado.
