Position Summary/Description:


The assistant will work with a research team comprised of several UNC faculty members in the School of Medicine and School of Public Health. Responsibilities will include collecting clinical and research questionnaire data necessary for the evaluation of a clinical quality improvement project for atrial fibrillation management. Data will be adjudicated and entered into a comprehensive database. The assistant will manage the REDcap project databases. This will include modification and creation of instruments, as needed; assisting with the data import process from CDW records; and ensuring that all records are complete and accurate. The assistant will also facilitate the collection of medical records data pertinent to the project. This position will also assist the Project Coordinator with the collection and analysis of data required for biannual reporting to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation. Will also assist with the collection and documentation of data needed for project participant CME credit. The assistant will independently and efficiently manage all IRB processes and regulatory requirements for the project, including submission of IRB modification and annual renewal applications. The assistance will help with the recruitment and e-consent process for project participants and will provide support for video conference training sessions. Will coordinate research team meeting to keep the project team up to date on project status.

Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
