Position Summary | This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities (CIDD) Research Participant Registries (RPR). The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data. The CIDD IDDRC Registry Core maintains databases of individuals and families who are interested in participating in research. The objective of the RPR is to assist research investigators with subject recruitment for their research studies. The following activities support this objective: * populating and maintaining participant databases for recruitment * assisting investigators with grant preparation and study recruitment * contacting potential participants on behalf of research projects using confidential and efficient procedures * coordinating recruitment among studies to limit the potential over-contact in selected sample and to encourage collaboration and efficient use of resources * contacting registry members annually to maintain current demographic and contact information and disseminate study findings * promoting UNC research project to constituent groups via electronic media, exhibits, presentations and products. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Experience with Adobe Publishing apps, Canva, and WordPress. Experience with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. |
