Senior Program Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking to hire a Senior Program Coordinator for the Department of Surgery (DoS).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Chair of Surgery and Vice Chair of Research.
  • Oversee, schedule, and manage the quarterly Surgery Research Council (SRC) with the Chair of Surgery or Vice Chair of Research.
  • Track progress of ongoing DoS research projects and database across the various research interest groups (RIGs)
  • Schedule and arrange research enhancing efforts (e.g. meetings, didactics), and report DoS research dash metrics.
  • Works with research core faculty on scheduling and arranging resident research related activities projects which requires significant statistical input and engage the Dept of CR stats and analytics team.
  • Collaborate on educational efforts with the Vice Chair of the Department of Clinical Research educational sessions and tailor to Department of Surgery needs.

 

  Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Database experience and management
  • 6 years' administrative and/or office management experience;
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments;
  • Management experience is a plus;
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events;
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students;
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting procedures;
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports;
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgment;
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment
