Job Purpose

Your contributions will directly contribute to the safety, functionality, and appeal of our campus environment. The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position is $52,000 annually. The internal full salary range is $38,558 – $52,167.

Qualifications/Knowledge Required/Years Experience Required


Degree Required HS diploma or GED
Certifications and/or Licensures required
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record (two or more moving violations, or one serious moving violation may disqualify an individual from operating a university vehicle.)
  • Ability to obtain or possess a basic first-aid and CPR certification.
Knowledge Required Early career, knowledge may be from education and/or some experience
Years Experience Required 1-2.99 years
Minimum Qualifications
  • ​High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record (two or more moving violations, or one serious moving violation may disqualify an individual from operating a university vehicle)
  • Proven typing ability and word processing skills
  • Must pass extensive background check
  • Availability for university emergencies that may include extended duty
  • Ability to work overtime as required or directed
  • Ability to obtain or possess a basic first-aid and CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people, including students, staff, faculty, administrators, and the general public.
Desired Qualifications
  • ​Two years college course work in a related field and/or two years work experience in law enforcement/security/public safety.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
  • Work experience in a higher education environment
Physical / Environmental Qualifications
  • ​Physical strength in back, arms, and legs to be able to perform tasks related to job functions, including walking, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to carry, drag, or restrain individuals or lift equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and/or drive for long periods of time (8-10 hour shifts)
