General Information

The research scientist position will develop original content and prepare documents for grant applications according with federal, state, and sponsor requirements. The position will support faculty in writing, editing, and creating graphics for grant proposal, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Supports researchers in developing grants, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
  • Assists faculty in proposal development, pro-active submission planning, and other tasks to secure funding.
  • Writes and edits grant proposals, evaluating readability, logic, flow, and consistency.
  • Assists faculty in manuscript development, writing, revising, and submission.
  • Interprets research data and results.
  • Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to faculty.
  • Monitors outcomes, develops and implements modifications, and analyzes reports. 
  • Develops materials for various research, training, and educational programs.
  • Works concurrently on multiple grants, manuscripts, and other projects. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.   
  • Salary      

    Commensurate upon experience.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Requirements

    • PhD or M.D. degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience 
    • OR Master's degree and ten (10) years of related experience

          Work Experience May NOT Substitute For Education Requirement

    • Documented proficiency in research design, grant writing, and manuscript writing
