Resident Assistant Professor - Physics

The Department of Physics within the College of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University is hiring for one, one-year, full-time resident assistant professor (RAP) position to begin in the fall of 2022. Preference will be given to candidates who will have completed all work towards a Ph.D. in physics or engineering or a related field before August 2022.  Special opportunities may exist for candidates with expertise in biomedical/medical physics or biomedical engineering or other related fields.
 
The Department of Physics is primarily an undergraduate department, but also offers Masters degrees in Physics and Medical Physics.  A RAP will teach four classes per semester (fall/spring). The candidates will be expected to teach courses in general physics or introductory astronomy, and upper division/graduate courses that can be tailored to the candidate’s expertise.

A Doctorate or Master's degree from an accredited college or university;

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications
