The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Med - Immunology/Rheumatology, is seeking a Researcher II. 

General Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision:

  • To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
  • To collect, enter and summarize data.
  • To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Orders and processes bill payments. 
  • Maintains research documentation, training documentation, equipment inventory. Manages and works with mouse colonies.
  • Preparation of audit labs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Hourly Salary Range     $15.50 - $23.51

     

    Qualifications

     
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
    • OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience

    Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

    Preferences

    • Basic science background such as college science courses required.
    • Previous experience with working with mice preferred.
