The University of Washington READi Lab (Research on Early Autism Detection and Intervention), directed by Dr. Wendy Stone, has an outstanding opportunity for a permanent-hourly Research Study Assistant beginning in June, 2024.  The Research Study Assistant will work on a community-based, randomized, controlled trial that examines the effectiveness of training EI providers to deliver Reciprocal Imitation Training (RIT) within the Part C Early Intervention (EI) system. Through this project, Early Intervention providers will receive Reciprocal Imitation Training (RIT) and they, in turn, will teach parents to implement RIT skills with their child. Parent/child dyads will participate in multiple coaching and assessment sessions and will complete surveys over the course of a 9-month period. Surveys and assessments completed by parents will cover several domains (social-communication, cognitive & language development, and parent behaviors). The Research Study Assistant will work in a team environment that includes Dr. Stone, graduate students, other research staff ss and undergraduate research study assistants.
