Position Summary
This position will aid the Principal Investigator with designing, performing and interpreting studies of the basic mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases using cardiac and vascular ultrasound and other noninvasive techniques. This position is an integral part of a cardiovascular research team studying cardiovascular pathophysiology in humans.
Educational Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Qualifications and Experience
Training in cardiac ultrasound is required; the candidate should be ARDMS registered/registry eligible in Adult Cardiac Echocardiography (RDCS). An undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and training in vascular imaging are preferred. Applicant must have experience in cardiac ultrasound and proficiency in 2-D, CW/PW Doppler, and tissue Doppler imaging. Experience with 3-D echocardiography and vascular imaging is preferred, and experience in cardiovascular research is a plus.
