The Center for Antibody Therapeutics, within the Dept of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, is seeking a PhD scientist to join our group for research on antibody engineering. This position will focus on validating anti-CEACAM5 chimeric antibody receptor T cell; screening and isolation of antibodies against cancer/immune cell related antigens and construction of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) including IL1Rap, CD276, GFRA2; and design and generation of bispecific immune cell engagers such as BiKE and BiTE.

Key Job Duties include: 

Identification of antibody binders for cancer and viral antigens

Designing and characterization of bispecific Antibody and ADCs against HIV-1 and cancers

Prepare finding for publication in approved, scientific journal(s)

Research and perform experiments, and develop protocols

Data Analysis, Statistical analyses

Research coordination with faculty/staff/collaborates, etc.



Job Summary

Conducts independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation. Prepares and crafts various documentations of research results into manuscripts, proposals, grant applications, and presentations. Trains undergraduates and research technicians. Manages laboratory policies and coordinates project development in collaboration with other specialists.


Essential Functions 

This position requires a high level of mobility, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and basic computer skills.


Physical Effort 

This position requires that the applicant travel between laboratories, campus buildings, and to sit or stand at a laboratory bench for extended periods of time.
