Research Lab Technician II

USC’s Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, Human and Evolutionary Biology Department is seeking a Research Lab Technician II to join its team.

A position for a research technician is available in the Kanoski Laboratory (http://www.kanoskilab.com ) Human and Evolutionary Biology Section of the Department of Biological Sciences. Research in the Kanoski lab investigates the neurobiological controls of food intake and body weight regulation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in rodent learning and memory techniques with a background in neuroscience. Research methods used by the laboratory include molecular biology (immunoblotting, ELISA, ISH, PCR, immunohistochemistry), rodent surgical procedures, confocal microscopy, and various behavioral neuroscience methods. A commitment of one year is required.

Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $24.23 - $30. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

This is a grant funded position.
