Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Microbiology is searching for a Research Associate Professor to participate in a program for vaccine development for infectious diseases. The primary activity of the appointee will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or a team that includes microbiologists, vaccine developers, industry partners and immunologists. We especially welcome applicants with experience in developing new tools and platforms for vaccines for infectious diseases as well as technical expertise in animal models, vaccine delivery and formulation, BSL-3 operations and vaccine testing. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in microbiology, biotechnology, immunology or related discipline, and 2) completed postdoctoral training.
