Job Summary

Support the development of the SPHEREx analysis pipeline, which is being assembled for readiness prior to launch. Develop selected analysis modules in the pipeline and validate their operation. Participate in the assessment of systematic errors arising from instrumental and astrophysical sources.

Essential Job Duties

  • Modelling and implementation of analysis modules.
  • Work is in an office environment and does not require manual labor.
  • Travel to visit collaboration members and to attend scientific conferences is encouraged but not required.
  • Applicant will be allowed to carry out independent research of their choosing up to 20% time.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in astrophysics with a strong background in mathematics, data analysis, astrophysical modelling, and coding.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reionization physics, infrared imaging analysis, cosmology, and intensity mapping.
