We are looking for a Research Assistant, to join our thriving department! This position is crucial to providing skilled, administrative, and managerial support in research. Knowledge of the Meditech web-based EHR platform is required, and prior experience collecting data from electronic medical records is preferred. Please note: This research will be conducted at CHI-St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Ability to get to this work location is required, as well as being able to pass CHI-St. Joseph's pre-employment drug test.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Meditech web-based EHR platform

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Ability to work on meticulous tasks with dedicated concentration for long periods of time

  • Skilled in using Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated high attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented

  • Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Other Requirements:

  • Research will be conducted at CHI-St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, TX

  • Transportation to work site is required

  • Ability to work in person at CHI-SJ is required

  • Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test (required by CHI-SJ)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience collecting data from electronic medical records

  • Experience working on teams

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from electronic medical records in Meditech web-based EHR platform

  • Check data collected against data collected from same electronic medical record by another research assistant

  • Perform other duties as assigned
