Job Summary
This position provides psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services of a clinical nature through direct patient care and consultation to hospital and Neuropsychiatric Institute patients.
Responsibilities
The licensed psychologist will support supervision and training of grant-supported School Psychology and Social Work student. As part of supervision, the licensed psychologist will support trainees within partner public schools, working with trainees and school staff to provide direct intervention to students, teacher consultations, and systems-level supports-particularly for Spanish-speaking/Latinx/Hispanic students. Additionally, the licensed psychologist will support trainee acquisition of Spanish language competency and understanding of Latinx/Hispanic cultural considerations through regularly held training seminars. Finally, the licensed psychologist will support project personnel on other elements of project data management and implementation. As part of this position, the licensed psychologist will have the opportunity to present and publish research and working within a cohesive and supportive interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
  • Ph.D or Psy.D. degree from an APA accredited graduate program in counseling, school or clinical psychology or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
  • Current license as a Psychologist in the State of Utah.
  • One year experience in psychotherapy, group or family therapy within a clinical setting.

Preferred
  • Experience with hospital- based psychological practices (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and / or outpatient).
  • Experience with individual, family, and group psychotherapy; and a variety of assessment experiences including intellectual, neuropsychological, and affective/behavioral assessment.
  • Licensed for two years or more, and experience, training, or interest in providing clinical supervision to interns and residents.
  • Completion of an APA-approved doctoral internship.
  • This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Preferences
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in Spanish, proficient in Spanish Language writing, and has experience working with Latinx/Hispanic communities in the mental and behavioral health services area.
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills for working with school personnel and a collaborative research team will be highly valued.
  • Eligible for BCBA certification; substantial experience in working within educational settings.
