Job Summary
Join the Pediatric Orthopaedic Clinic as a Outpatient Services Specialist!
We are looking for anyone interested in getting started in a medical setting. We will train you to be successful and teach you how to utilize patient relations skills and medical record systems like iCentra and EPIC. This position will assist a clinic of specialized pediatric orthopedic providers with triaging patient phone calls, scheduling, registration, and providing excellent patient care. This position will serve at our Salt Lake and Layton locations but you may be asked to cover in Riverton and Provo as well
Responsibilities
Essential Functions

This position will provide excellent customer service to our patients in-person as well as over the phone. It will be expected that you greet patients as they arrive and leave our clinic in a friendly manner. You will also be responsible to:
  • Use iCentra and EPIC to schedule, check-in and out, and work queue’s.
  • Collect co-pays.
  • Triage patient phone calls as well as paper and electronic referrals to schedule patient into correct clinics.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for procedures.
  • Be able to triage, multitask, and complete assigned work in a timely matter with minimal oversite.
Minimum Qualifications
Required

  • One year of office experience, customer service experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
  • Current, valid Utah driver’s license at time of hire may be required in some areas.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
