Position Description:

The University of Louisville Corporate Engagement Team holistically addresses the needs of companies by prioritizing strategic partnerships and providing a streamlined experience for industry partners. The Healthcare and Health Sciences Portfolio Managere will provide a gateway to the University, making connections between external partners and UofL within the areas of research, innovation, recruiting, philanthropy, campus presence, workforce, and student engagement. These responsibilities support university-level priorities and help to build long-term strategic relationships. Reporting to the Director of Industry Partnerships within the Office of Research and Innovation and with a dual report to the Dean of the School of Medicine, the Healthcare and Health Sciences Portfolio Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the University's industry engagement strategy for the health sciences and healthcare industry vertical, creating meaningful and sustainable relationships with industry partners leading to increased investment in University priorities in alignment with corporate priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a healthcare industry advisory board, in partnership with the Trager Institute and the Dean of the School of Medicine.
  • Support UofL healthcare and health sciences research, innovation, and workforce engagement efforts across academic units, centers, and institutes.
  • Partner across units and across functionality at the University to provide a streamlined experience for industry partners.
  • Oversee the execution of new healthcare industry sponsored research projects and manage ongoing sponsored projects to maximize the value of the relationship.
  • Conduct outreach to healthcare companies to develop new partnerships and grow existing relationships.
  • Support health sciences grant proposal requiring industry partnerships.
  • Manage and execute healthcare industry engagement events and programs.
  • Oversee execution and follow through on industry partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in relevant field
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications

Target Compensation Maximum: $98,100

Target Compensation Minimum:  $65,400

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
