Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: IT Programmer/Analyst
Information Technology (IT) provides information resources and technology services to the entire campus community to support the university’s mission. The Programmer/Analyst Team develops interfaces, writes Python and SQL code, and directly supports the university’s enterprise resource planning ERP (Ellucian Banner) and related enterprise-wide systems. This position reports to the IT Programmer/Analyst Supervisor, who reports to the Director for Enterprise Application Services. The Director reports to the Associate Vice President for IT and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
this position consults, designs, programs, troubleshoots, and provides technical support for complex applications, projects, and/or operational problems. They develop integrations, scripts, and fixes using various computer programming languages and tools, principally Python and SQL to perform their assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
  • Four years of experience implementing, managing, and administering systems.
  • Four years of experience developing in SQL and Python.
  • Four years of recent professional experience in developing and maintaining data-oriented computer applications. This includes analyzing, designing, implementing, and programming medium- to large-scale enterprise software using PL/SQL or an equivalent procedural, data-oriented development language.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with Waterfall, Agile, or Extreme development methodologies and tools like Git, Kanban boards, Jira, or other work/project management applications.
  • Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using a well-structured life cycle management process for implementation of changes in application systems, including experience with project management and configuration management processes.
  • Knowledge and experience working in higher education and/or financial environments dealing with information systems management and support systems.
