Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate curriculum management in CARS.
- Ensure the departmental webpage is regularly updated with the latest curriculum-related information.
- Schedule courses and coordinate room assignments.
- Manage the departmental teaching plan and teaching assistant assignments.
- Maintain departmental academic data for assessments.
- Coordinate graduate faculty nominations.
- Keep records for departmental academic committees.
- Coordinate departmental scholarships, fellowships, and grants for both graduate and undergraduate students.
- Ensure university compliance for course field trips.
- Coordinate with the business office and maintain academic-related transactions, including scholarships, assistantships, course fees, and grants.
- Oversee vehicle usage for field courses.
- Manage records for student scholarships, fellowships, assistantships, and internships.
- Support student organizations.
- Act as a liaison between the academic advising center and the department.
- Manage graduate student admissions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus an additional six (6) years of related experience.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent computer, organizational, and strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving.
Commitment to supporting academic success of both students and faculty.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
