The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education School of Global Health Management and Informatics seeks a Program Manager I to join their team! This position is responsible for supporting the School's Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the School of Global Health Management & Informatics. This position will assist the Director in overseeing, administering, planning, and monitoring all the school’s complex budgets in excess of $10 million. The Program Manager I exercises a high level of responsibility managing many tasks, managing special projects, using independent judgment, interacting with individuals across campus, and representing the office inside and outside the UCF community.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the school director in budgetary oversight and financial management of accounts in accordance with UCF policies and procedures. Monitor and manage the school's accounts, including AUX, Operations, eMHA, and HCI budgets, in collaboration with the CCIE's finance business enter and the Continuing Education finance business center. Ensure compliance with UCF policies and procedures in all financial activities.

  • Work in collaboration with the College’s HR Business Center, Finance Business Center, and the Continuing Education finance business center. Provide strategic guidance to the school's director on employee relations, talent strategies, practices, employment issues, and workforce planning. Generate financial reports for director’s review, and provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement financial plans and forecasts.

  • Coordinate and plan student group travel to industry conferences, ensuring a seamless and educational experience. Work closely with faculty to organize logistics and learning opportunities during travel. Manage learning enhancements for students and faculty in the HIIM and HCI programs. Identify and implement strategies to enhance the educational experience and skill development.

  • Oversee and coordinate various projects from initiation to completion. Analyze enrollment data, financial data, and trends to provide strategic insights. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination between the college research office (RAST) and faculty members engaged in contract and grant projects/awards. This involves close collaboration with faculty and RAST to ensure seamless management of research grants and monitoring of grant accounts.

  • Serve as direct supervisor to Administrative Assistant. Oversee and manage the completion of the faculty's AOD and FAS. Ensure accurate and comprehensive information is gathered and maintained in the school’s files.

  • Initiate all contracts/data use agreements (DUAs) on the school’s behalf. Oversee computer/server support services for faculty and students within the school. Maintain detailed records of all contracts, DUAs, and agreements. Ensure adherence to school policies, as well as legal and regulatory guidelines.

  • Compile and maintain documentation required for accreditation related to fiscal matters. Generate accurate and timely reports for accreditation purposes. Support initiatives leading to industry certifications, mentorship programs, internships, and partnerships.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience:

  • Budget management experience in higher education - Advanced Excel experience, including proficiency with pivot tables

  • Experience working with faculty, including contracts and grants, and data use agreements

  • Workday experience

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Experience leading project management initiatives

  • Degree in business, accounting, health administration, health informatics, or a related field
