Job Description

Coordinates activities and functions of the Corporate Partnership programs and ASU Online special population programs to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the programs are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, timelines, funding limitations and student service and university stakeholder needs. This classification is intended for positions that have a responsibility for a particular program; the program provides a specific service or carries out specific activities as a separate entity or as a component program within a department, but is not a department itself.

Essential Duties

  • Oversees daily/monthly awarding and coordinates activities of all corporate partner and ASU Online special awarding populations; determines priorities.
  • Notifies staff and stakeholders of updates and changes for programs.
  • Prepares periodic reports, financial statements and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.  
  • Evaluates program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action.
  • Develops, compiles, writes, and maintains standard operating procedures for all Corporate Partner and ASU Online special awarding populations.
  • Interacts and maintains liaison with staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
  • Confers with and advises staff and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals and policy interpretation; refers to appropriate department person when unable to respond.
  • Reviews program documents and processes independently or in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
  • Develops, schedules, and maintains program work plan in accordance with specifications and keeps all stakeholders informed of timelines and completion.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Evidence in being a self-starter able to work independently without sacrificing quality.

Working Environment

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.   Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.  Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Services is one of several departments comprising Academic Enterprise Enrollment which utilizes a variety of strategies to enroll and support a diverse student population representative of Arizona State University's vision.  The Financial Aid and Scholarship Services unit strives to provide excellent customer service with the goal to make each student's application for financial aid a simple and affordable process.  Each staff member is committed to helping a student finance their education by effectively utilizing scholarships, grants, work-study and loans.  The unit provides tools to help determine the cost of attending ASU, including a scholarship portal to search for available scholarships.  The department also provides resources for student to use to budget their money and a student employment unit which processes department requests for student workers.
