Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required:
*Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.
- Master’s degree in public health, public administration or related field (e.g. social work, sociology) preferred.
- Strong student advising and marketing experience (website, social media, flyers) preferred. Experience in event planning. Demonstrated success implementing diversity initiatives and understanding of the implications of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Experience with facilitating and leading conversations around Diversity Equity & Inclusion.
- Strong administrative, collaboration, and communication skills required. Excellent oral and written communication. Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, web-conferencing platforms such as Zoom, WebEx and Microsoft Teams). Effective listening skills, ability to assess needs and develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and comfort working with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
