We’re seeking a Program Coordinator II, with a passion for recruiting and administration. This is a rewarding position in which you will plan/execute recruiting and coordinate the administrative side of admissions while managing the academic administration of the Management Graduate Program at Mays Business School. What you need to know  


Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s education and experience.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four years of executive administration or related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
  • Skill to learn and use different university-used software systems
  • Interpersonal skills to organize and work cooperatively and effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Skill to understand academic curricula and guide students
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 or more years of training and experience
  • Familiarity with Texas A&M University processes

Essential Duties/Tasks

  • Recruiting & Admissions - Plans and executes student recruiting activities. Maintains databases of prospective students and conducts appropriate periodic outreach activities including, but not limited to, email campaigns and calling campaigns. Interacts with walk-in traffic, email, and phone requests, answers program questions, and promotes the MGMT graduate programs. Tracks and reports relevant recruitment statistics. Works with the Mays Communications group to develop promotional materials and campaigns. Recommends, coordinates, and maintains the stock of promotional materials to be used in recruiting. Coordinates the multi-faceted administrative side of admissions for the MGMT graduate program and supports program managers/directors in administrative activities related to new student recruiting for the programs.  This includes processing applications, updating statuses in the WebAdmit system, sending application files to the review committee, and updating applicant status in the system, compiling applicant data for Program Director and admissions committee reviews, and appropriate communication to applicants.
  • Academic Administration - Manages course scheduling to ensure no class conflicts and adequate enrollment in courses. Manages degree plan submissions and approvals through the office of graduate and professional studies (OGAPS) along with applications for graduation. Serves as a liaison with other departmental resources regarding curriculum issues and changes. Leads the registration and degree planning process for MGMT graduate students.
  • Student Development/Event Management - Organizes and administers MGMT graduate program events including but not limited to new student orientation, networking and recruiting events, professional development workshops for students. Assists faculty with guest speaking engagements and experiential learning opportunities for students. Supports the new student orientation and other student development events with the programs.
  • Communications - Communicates with current and prospective students and program leadership in areas relevant to admissions, degree plans, petitions, registration and other program events and activities.  Responds to prospective student inquiries. Supports MGMT graduate program leadership in communicating with all stakeholders regarding internship and full-time job placement activities. Develops orientation materials for students.
  • Study Abroad Program Administration - Works with Program Director, the Center for International Business Studies, Texas A&M Education Abroad and external vendors to coordinate an annual study abroad trip for MGMT graduate programs. Perform other duties as assigned.
