Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$51,580.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$54,159.00

To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:

  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.

The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

The Program Coordinator for the Aims Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Center, part of the Windsor Campus Administration department, is charged with managing, growing, and expanding the CPR program on all campuses through face-to-face and hybrid/online options, and onsite at community organizations resulting in a significant contribution to the goals of Windsor Campus Administration. The Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Aims status as a certified American Heart Association (AHA) training center by ensuring all classes, instruction, and instructors meet AHA standards and guidelines. The coordinator must verify and process electronic
certifications for individuals who have successfully passed an Aims or Aims-affiliated CPR course, including prospective and existing students, individuals in the community, and employees of organizations.
The position includes the day-to-day supervision of a pool of approximately 10-15 part-time Aims certified instructors who teach non-credit public CPR courses and onsite training within the community. The coordinator oversees the instructors’ certification credentials, orientation and training. The coordinator must also oversee the credentials, orientation, training and instruction provided by the approximately 100 instructors in northern Colorado who are affiliated with the Aims CPR certified training center. This position provides monitoring and oversight to ensure that all instructors and instruction provided by Aims instructors adheres to American Heart Association standards. This position schedules and assigns instructors to all Aims CPR classes and handles student inquires, registration, and issues. The coordinator also assists instructors as needed, prepares and sends invoices to affiliated instructors, and purchases and maintains equipment, books, tests, and other supplies. The Coordinator is expected to maintain an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification credit courses on campus or onsite within the community if needed.

Program Execution and Growth:

  • Grow and expand the Aims CPR Training Center by coordinating non-credit public offerings on a semester basis in alignment with community need as well as onsite training for community organizations.
  • Responsible for establishing enrollment and program income goals on an annual fiscal basis in order to significantly contribute to the strategic goals of the Aims Windsor Campus.
  • Works with the Executive Director to identify key healthcare and other organizations within the College’s taxing district to conduct outreach visits with the goal of establishing and sustaining a long term training partnership to continually be the primary provider of training, certifying and recertifying of employees.
  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining marketing efforts for the program, in cooperation with Aims Marketing & Communications department and the Continuing Education department, to include print materials, email marketing, social media campaigns and web content. The Coordinator will create and maintain an active list of past, current students as well as a company/organization list to support ongoing marketing initiatives. The Coordinator will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness, in cooperation with Aims Marketing & Communications department, of marketing campaigns.

Supervision & Administrative Duties:

  • Responsible for the day to day supervision/oversight of the pool of part-time certified Aims instructors. This supervision includes tasks such as: hiring, conducting orientation to both Aims and American Heart Association standards and requirements, scheduling for instruction of non-credit campus courses, in person skills assessments and onsite training in the community, classroom observations, resolving issues and verifying that teaching methods adhere to both Aims and the American Heart Association standards.
  • Assigns and provides for Aims instructors’ needs such as campus/room assignments, textbooks, tests, and other participant materials.
  • Oversees and monitors all Aims instructor credentials and curriculum to ensure compliance with American Heart Association standards as well as Aims guidelines.
  • Works with instructors to troubleshoot any delivery or student issues as they arise.
  • Oversees approximately 100 instructors affiliated with the Aims CPR Training Center, administers e-cards, creates and sends invoices; performs occasional site visits and/or establishes a mentoring program for monitoring.
  • Electronically distributes e-cards to individuals who successfully complete classes.
  • Purchases and maintains equipment and consumables inventories.
  • Monitors budget and provides recommendations during budget cycles.

Program Assurances, Assessment & Evaluation:

  • Responsible for ensuring all instruction meets the required standards and methods of the American Heart Association.
  • Conducts classroom observations to verify that all American Heart Association and Aims standards are being followed.
  • Collects, reviews and inputs all student feedback forms.
  • Assesses and evaluates the success of all program activity, adjusting as needed.
  • Additional program assurance, assessment and evaluation job responsibilities include:
  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports success metrics.
  • Executes assessments such as participation satisfaction surveys and exit surveys.
  • Utilizes available report, tracking, and assessment technologies to support program assessment and evaluation (Tableau, Student Access, Lumens, Infinite Campus, and Workday).

Community Outreach & Student Interaction:

  • Conducts in-person meetings with community organizations such as health care to market the AHA/CPR program, especially onsite training; provides continuous customer service to students taking Aims campus-based courses, online courses or courses with affiliated instructors aligned with the Aims CPR Training Center.
  • Establishes monthly goals for outreach visits and strives to meet or exceed that goal.
  • Creates and maintains effective channels of communication for all community and student interaction.

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Teaches CPR classes as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health, Science, Business or other related field; Plus,
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in education, CPR, health care, fire science, or other related area or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification. This certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.

OR

  • Associate's degree in an allied health related field, fire science, or other related field plus five (5) years of relevant work experience in education, CPR, health care, fire science, or other related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification. This certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.

OR

  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience in education, CPR, health care, fire science, or other related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification. This certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification. This certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a community college environment developing and coordinating non-credit course offerings, onsite training and community outreach.
  • Previous experience with American Heart Association teaching standards as an instructor and/or as a program coordinator.
  • Experience working with non-credit enrollment software such as Modern Campus Lumens.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Certification. This certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Previous experience in program management/coordination such as managing multiple projects, clients, or courses.
