Position Summary | Would you like to gain knowledge and experience working in the progressive field of technology-based healthcare initiatives? The University of New Mexico’s Project ECHO is looking for student to join our NM Community Peer Education Project (CPEP) Team! The Program Assistant will support the CPEP team, which includes a Program Coordinator, Program Specialist and Program Managers with day-to-day office duties, special projects and additional tasks that serve the larger Project ECHO organization. Please note: This position requires work from the ECHO Institute a minimum of 3 times per week. As an entry-level Program Assistant, you will provide support by: · Tracking and mailing supplies to various program related locations. · Document creation, drafting, and editing. · Communication with outside parties, including authority figures (i.e. Probation Officers). · General office duties. · Managing and archiving materials and files. · Event planning and operations – including supporting travel demands, agenda creation, and occasional attendance. · May involve designing and giving presentations. · Other job-related duties as assigned. Project ECHO is unique and innovative center based within a vibrant academic community at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Examples of programs we and others run include infectious disease control (Hepatitis C, HIV), mental health and addiction treatment, literacy, math, climate mitigation and many more. Project ECHO is funded in part by philanthropic grants and gifts from organizations such as the GE Foundation, the Helmsley Charitable Trust, the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, the Merck Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the US Government. Additionally, for programming benefitting New Mexico we receive support from the NM Legislature, the New Mexico Human Services Department and the New Mexico Department of Health.
