Position Summary

Coordinates, supervises and manages the operations of the testing services at the CNM Assessment Center.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
  • Design, develop and deliver training to the department.
  • Directs the activities of the department, which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.
  • Designs, implements and enforces test security procedures, student records and test materials confidentiality; ensures compliance to rules, policies and procedures.
  • Prepares agendas, statistical reports, informational literature, correspondence and other documents for the Director and/or college departments.
  • Troubleshoots minor computer hardware and software problems, reports and corrects irregularities and implements procedures to prevent issues.
  • Responds to requests for testing information from students, college staff and the general public; reviews and authorizes student, faculty, counselor or community requests for testing.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in teaching, training, counseling or testing; and experience working with special needs individuals and supporting documentation. Not be involved in high school equivalency instruction.
