Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.


Unit Position Summary

The College of Social Science is seeking a Student Services Assistant to support the Office of Experiential Learning with enhancing all of the co-curricular activities and programs within the College. The Assistant will be required to liaise with students, advisors, faculty, parents and external providers to provide successful transitions between students and their selected experiential learning programs.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Reviews and Provides first level College approval for international exchange student academic applications and course selections.                                                                Creates, maintains and reviews student records, compiles data and conducts data analysis for annual reporting              Manage and promote experiential learning scholarships          Maintain and monitor bi-annual scholarships and grants          Creates, develops, and facilitates workshops, orientations and communication for all internship programs                  Co-facilitate and coordinate spring break service learning programs and freshman seminar programs, which may include traveling with program                                              Develops presentations and conducts promotion of programs at student events                                                                Trains and supervises student interns                                  Work Hours: Occasional nights/weekends are required: some travel may be required.
