Position Description:


We are looking to hire a full-time pre-doctoral fellow for the academic year 2024-2025, with the expectation that the candidate is available for a second year. The pre-doc will be based at Harvard and will closely collaborate with us on all aspects of our research in behavioral economics, cultural economics and political economy. For example, recent work in behavioral economics includes research on the complexity of economic decisions. The pre-doc's task will include designing and implementing experiments; analyzing survey, observational and textual data; and machine learning applications to experimental data.

The position is ideally suited for students who would like to improve their research skills to prepare themselves for graduate school.
*The position is fully paid, and a visa can be arranged.

Basic Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both economic theory and data science:
  • A background in economics, applied math or other quantitative subjects
  • Coding experience in Python, R, Stata or other languages
  • Experience with NLP or other aspects of ML
  • Prior experience as research assistant
  • Strong project management and communication skills in spoken and written English
