The Advancement Operations team, which includes the Information Management (IM) group, empowers University Advancement to achieve and sustain its mission and vision. The Information Management team has an exciting opening for a Power Platform Developer. This is a full-time, permanent position. 

The Business Applications Support team within IM maximizes the impact of University Advancement’s mission-critical enterprise software systems. The Power Platform Developer is a key team member who enables our use of the Microsoft Dataverse and maximizes the impact of our Dynamics CRM. With multiple systems driving a diverse portfolio of engagement, fundraising, stewardship and operational goals, the Business Application Support team’s core objective is to increase the connectivity between these systems and continuously improve operations.

The developer will be responsible for:
-Developing, testing and maintaining Power Automate flows
-Developing and maintaining Power Platform solutions
-Coordinating in-house solutions with third-party plugins in our Dynamics 365 CRM
-Deepening integrations within and enhancing the value of the Advancement Software Stack

What You Will Do:

Solution Engineering (60%)

•Develop technical solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
•Translate business requirements into well-architect-ed solutions that leverage Power Platform components by working with our Business Analysis and Quality Assurance groups.
•Coordinate with internal software development groups on the creation of APIs for Line-of-Business applications that do not have native connectors.
•Use connectors to integrate disparate systems to Power Platform applications and our CRM.
•Participate in technical communities to stay informed of changes and best practices in the broader discipline and share them back to the Business Application Support team.

Architecture (30%)

•Maintain and manage solution packages and their deployment across testing and production environments.
•Identify areas and processes where Power Platform and Microsoft tools can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.
•Design solutions based on established design patterns and best practices.

Customer Engagement (10%)

•Provide solutions to business difficulties by applying problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Guide Advancement teams in the effective use of Power Platform.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree AND at least two years of demonstrated experience in the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem (i.e. Power Automate/Power Apps/Power BI, Dynamics 365) and CRM solution (Dynamics, Salesforce, Blackbaud, etc.).

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

What You Bring:

•Demonstrated problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
•Experience delivering customer service using an issue tracking system.
•Understanding of software development best practices, such as version control, work-item management and lifecycles.
•Experience with a marketing automation platform.
•Experience with an event registration platform.
•Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and nontechnical audiences.

What You Can Expect:

•Cubicle/open workspace environment which may result in higher levels of noise and visual distractions.
•Ability to travel to locations around the Seattle campus to engage in consultations, and infrequently, travel to the Bothell and Tacoma campuses.
