Position Description
The Cui Lab for Systems Immunology research at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School is recruiting one or more immunology postdoctoral researchers. The postdoc is responsible for driving forward immunology projects based on the preliminary findings from the lab under the guidance of the PI.  Example work includes characterizing novel functions of immune cells and studying their roles in diseases such as oral and systemic inflammation and cancer. The postdoc will collaborate with both computational and experimental researchers in the lab, and will prepare figures and draft manuscripts based on the experiments. They are expected to carefully document their work, and regularly provide progress updates to the PI.  Individuals interested in the position are welcome to contact the PI as early as possible to arrange paperwork and funding. The laboratory is located in the heart of the Longwood Academic and Medical Area in Boston, MA.
 
This position is a one-year term appointment from date of hire with the possibility of extension.
Basic Qualifications
- PhD in immunology, stem cell biology, or a related field
- 3+ years of research experience in immunology
- 1 or more first-author publications in immunology
- Skilled in assays for characterizing immune cells, such as ex vivo cell stimulation, flow
cytometry, ELISA, western blot, qPCR, CRISPR/Cas9, and fluorescent imaging
- Experience with animal models of diseases, particularly tumor models or inflammatory
disease models
- Experience with protein engineering or synthetic biology is a plus
