Research Topic: Immune development i n infants and children

Job Description:

A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaoping Zhong in the Division of Allergy and Immunology, Department of Pediatrics at Duke University School of Medicine. The Zhong laboratory utilizes mouse models and cell line models to investigate regulations of immune cell development and function and pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. We are seeking motivated and hardworking candidates with a background and interest in immunology. This postdoctoral researcher will work on regulation of T cell homeostasis, function, and tolerance especially by a new class of regulators. The candidate will be expected to work independently but will be closely interacting with the principal investigator and capable of collaborating with other lab members in the laboratory. The candidate will have a doctoral degree in life sciences. Ideal candidates should have hand-on experience in immunology research and expertise in bioinformatics is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications


Ideal candidates will have a PhD or MD/PhD in the life sciences including biochemistry, genetics, cell, molecular or cancer biology, or who anticipate completion of their degree prior to starting the position.


Hands-on experience in immunology research and expertise in bioinformatics is a plus.
